Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Who should take this class?
The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. The use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
If the Pre-Course Test for the PALS Renewal Course is not complete PRIOR to the class, you may not be permitted entrance into the class due to other students who have already completed the pre-course test.
Refund-Cancellation Policy:
Students have the right to reschedule their reservation for up to but no more than Fourteen (14) days from the date of their registration. Students also have the right to cancel their reservation and obtain a full refund as long as arrangements are made 24 hours prior to the class. A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply for those cancellations made within 24 hours of the class.
Please Note: Refunds cannot be issued to those students who have purchased the online AHA Web Key (Online & Skills Test) course.
Students that are completing the PALS or ACLS Online and Skills test, there will be a $25 rescheduling fee if less than 24 hours notice.
